 ather, Son and Friends, a traditional
Scottish, Irish and, American folk band, has been performing together
since 1980. The group consists of Joey Hall (Father) and Shawn
Hall (Son). There are many Friends that join us on stage. Randy
(Skunkmeat) Bloom, Timmy Hess, Stephanie Garner, Al Kenega, John
(Preacher) Johnston plus many other characters that may perform
with us at any time.
Between the members of the band there are as many as 15 instruments
that may be played , including but not limited to guitar, banjo,
bones, mandolin, octave mandolin, penny whistle, bodhran, vocals
and of course the bagpipes.
The purpose of the group is to introduce the public to traditional
Celtic Music and to educate them as to the history of Scotland
and Ireland as well as to the contributions the Celtic race has
made in the building of America. We prefer to include the audience
in our presentation by creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere
filled with clapping, signing and laughter. We think that you
will be pleased with both our music and the manner in which we
present it.
