While having breakfast one morning, Neal inadvertently dropped bacon in his beard. His wife remarked about it and Neal responded, "Bacon in the Beard, what a great name for a pipe tune!" Several years later, remembering the incident, Neal composed this tune. (1997, Neal Redmond, Druid's Oak Music)
